Gyotaku is the traditional method of Japanese fish printing, dating from the mid-1800s. We will learn how to use real fish to make one-of-a-kind prints. At the end of this unique experiential class, we will create a fish rubbing, beautifully rendered and ready to display in our home. This beats the daylights out of the typical souvenirs – tee shirt, coffee mug? No way! And, thanks to you, we’ll have a cool story that will last a lifetime.
